ColorizeIt! sample

How ColorizeIt! works.

You upload an image, select a design shared by someone or upload a custom design. If you are uploading a custom design then you must also upload a screenshot of that design that will be shown in color editor.

Then using ColorizeIt! color scheme editor you change color scheme of design. Editing colors is done by moving around few sliders. There is a preview sample so you could immediately see how your design would look. Sliders adjust hue and saturation of colors in certain color range. For example, you can select blue colors and using hue slider change hue to green. You can adjust up to four colors at the same time, so for example, you can change blue colors to green and orange to red with just two color adjustment layers. With saturation slider you can achieve nice effects like grayscaling one particular color, or making it darker or lighter. Click on "ColorizeIt!" button for any design to see editor in action.

When you are done adjusting colors you click "Continue" button and download design you were editing but with your custom colors.

Note: ColorizeIt! can only modify hue and saturation of colors in selected color range. It doesn't allow to modify luminocity or invert colors. That means you cannot change black to white, or red to black. But you can change color and saturation, so, for example, you can change blue colors to red, green, purple, make it more or less saturated, or grayscale it.

Editor sample

What do all those shiny sliders do.

There are 3 sliders in an image editor box.

1. This is a source color from original design. You can select a source color by moving first slider, selecting predefined colors from select box above that slider, or check option "select all colors" that will modify all colors.

2. This is a destination color slider. Source color and colors near it will be changed to that color. If you put slider in the middle (value on right will change to "0"), color won't be changed.

3. This is a saturation slider. Setting in middle (value on right from slider = "0") means saturation won't be changed, moving slider to left will decrease saturation of source color, moving slider to right will increase saturation of source color. Changing saturation won't change color in box above it (see arrow "2" on sample) - that box only shows hue change.

You can use up to 4 color editor boxes, so you can use to adjust up to 4 different colors at the same time. All changes are immediately shown on sample image below color editor boxes.
